Is Thank You Enough?

Is there a phrase stronger than Thank You?  Seriously, I feel that saying Thank You just isn’t enough to convey the emotion I have for you guys.  I’m elated and excited and grateful and humbled.  DAILY!  I’ve been steadily stalking myself for the past 4 weeks since Trust Me release.  I hit publish on 8/18 and the book went live the next day.  I didn’t share that news with the world yet because I was scared and nervous.  It’s so dang scary to put your work out there for others to potentially criticize.  I know that not everyone is going to like my book.  They won’t like my writing style.  They won’t like the way I embrace the “f” bomb throughout the entire book or the graphic sex scenes.  I want people to buy my book and read it, but what if they hated it?  My best friends have read it and loved it, but isn’t that what friends are for?  To love and support you – even if your work is crap?  When the reviews started coming in, that’s the first time I started to think, “Hmmm, maybe my friends are right.”  😉

To throw some numbers at you:

4 – that’s the number of weeks that Trust Me has been out there in the world

700 – that’s the number of e-books I’ve sold as of 7am this morning on Amazon alone

500 – that’s the number of new likers I have on FB

200 – that’s the number of new followers I have on Twitter

So, here’s my thing, Peeps: THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for spending a few of your hard earned dollars on my book.  I never expected this kind of reaction to Trust Me in a million years.

I mentioned on Facebook earlier in the week my plan for Rivers Edge.  Yes, there will be more.  Jake and Erin are safely tucked into the hands of my editor.  I am SO excited to see what she thinks and get it back from her!  I want to keep the momentum rolling and give you what you’ve been asking me for:  MORE RIVERS EDGE!  My amazing cover artist has the information and will start working on the cover very soon!  She’s in the middle of an amazing FB giveaway (link is on my FB page if you want to join the party).  You people will be the first to see the cover when it’s ready!  My master plan is to release by end of year.  Early December is my goal, but we all know how that goes sometimes.

After Jake & Erin, we will dive into Travis.  Remember Travis, the youngest Stevens boy?  I can’t wait for you to see what I have in store for Travis.  Travis is a little softer than Jake and Maddox, though not any less passionate.  His pretty little world is blown to smithereens when he meets Josselyn.  Just. You. Wait.

What am I currently working on?  Well, I have 2 WIP’s.  I am halfway into a novella featuring Holly – Avery’s BFF.  My plan is to make that book 3.5 (after Travis).  I’m also working on Nate which will be book 4.  Oh, Nate…you are keeping me up late at night, Mister!  I find myself completely engrossed in writing his story.  Sleep definitely comes secondary to his book.

Guys, I LOVE what I’m doing!  If you would have asked me a year ago if I thought I’d be in this place right now, I would have laughed at you.  Six months ago, this wasn’t even a reality.  It was a thought.

So, THANK YOU, again, from the bottom of my heart for your support!  What a ride this has been!
